St. Bernard Retablo Patron of Skiers, Mountain Climbers and Spelunkers
St. Bernard was an 11th century missionary who watched pilgrims suffering while crossing the Alps in winter on their way to Rome. He established two hospices for the travelers on top of two mountains that still bare his name. Much later his successors bred the St. Bernard dog.
