Copper electroformed Iolite Granny’s Cloak Moth complete on an 18” soldered gunmetal chain. Pendant has a gunmetal and purple patina. 
This beautiful moth displays a luminous purple sheen when captured on photograph. Culturally, grandmothers wore long cloaks to shield children from harm. The eye patterns on the wings represent the grandmothers ever watchful eye. Truly a protective moth pendant. The rich purple to blue hues of Iolite earned this gemstone the nickname of “water sapphire”. Many people believe Iolite to be a guiding stone that helps you move both physically and spiritually from one realm into another. 
Moths measure approximately 1.2” x 1.3”.

*liver of sulfur is applied to form a black (gunmetal) patina on the copper. If a pendant is rubbing back and forth on skin it may start to lose its darkened appearance revealing the natural copper. Each piece is sealed with a metal sealant/protectant.
