There’s nothing dim about Demeter, the bright Greek Goddess of the harvest. You may know her as the mother of Persephone and the fourth wife of Zeus, but she’s so much more. She was quintessential to the farmers and peasants of Greece and was worshipped atop Mount Olympus for survival, bounty, and obedience. Her gifts to humanity include olives, figs, and grapes, making her the Goddess of wine in our eyes. We’ll toast to that.
