The Aegis shows up as multiple power objects associated with a variety of Mediterranean deities including the severed head of Medusa and the thunderbolt of Zeus. In all cases the Aegis increases the power of the bearer, and gives them miraculous, irresistible abilities. 

This course will explore practical applications of this folklore through meditation, discussion, and ritual actions including:

• How to determine the nature and characteristics of a personal aegis

• Techniques to create a wearable aegis

• Designing daily aegis practice

  
  

A general familiarity with Greek folklore and Hellenistic deities will be beneficial but not mandatory to this course. All levels and all traditions welcome. Content can easily be applied to non-Greek traditions.
